Steve Engel, RLA
President/CEO/Managing Director
Steve Engel is the founder of Vista Design, Inc. and serves as its president, CEO and managing director. Mr. Engel is a Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) licensed in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, with more than twenty years of design and project management experience. In addition, Mr. Engel is certified by the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources as a Forest Conservationist, holds a “Green Card” for Sediment and Erosion Control issued by the Maryland Dept. of the Environment and is certified by the Delaware Dept. of Natural Resources & Environmental Control as a Construction Reviewer for Sediment and Stormwater Management. Professional affiliations include memberships in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), as well as the Maryland and Pennsylvania/Delaware chapters of ASLA. Mr. Engel is a graduate of West Virginia University with a BS in Landscape Architecture. |

Frank Kea, RLA
Principal/Director of Design
Frank Kea, a Registered Landscape Architect, is Vista Design’s Director of Design, with more than 28 years of experience in land planning, landscape architecture, project management, real estate development and homebuilding. Mr. Kea has successfully served in senior management positions with some of the nation’s preeminent design and homebuilding firms, including Dewberry & Davis, Greenhorne & O’Mara, Devereaux & Associates, Niles Bolton Associates, Carl M. Freeman Communities and Centex Homes. His highly diverse design and project management experience encompasses virtually all product types, including, without limitation, championship golf courses, zoos, parks, prominent residential and mixed-use communities, municipal streetscapes, healthcare facilities, marinas, office parks, hotels and upscale retail facilities. Professional affiliations have included memberships in the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Homebuilders, Congress for New Urbanism, Delaware State Greenways Committee, Urban Salisbury and the Delaware and Maryland Farm Bureaus, among many others. Mr. Kea is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a BS in Landscape Architecture. |

Larry Mann
Director of Surveying
Larry Mann, Vista Design’s Director of Surveying, is a licensed surveyor in Maryland and Delaware with over 25 years of surveying and project management experience. Mr. Mann’s professional accomplishments include effective supervision of a large surveying division staffed by more than 100 people, in addition to heavy involvement in hydrographic surveys of Virginia Beach, VA and layout of the Washington, DC Metrorail system. Professional affiliations include memberships in the Maryland Society of Surveyors and Delaware Association of Surveyors. Mr. Mann holds degrees in Business from George Mason University and in Surveying from Old Dominion University. He has continued his education with specific courses of study in boundary law, GIS and GPS. |

Michael Goldberg
Director of Marketing
Michael Goldberg, Vista Design’s Director of Marketing, comes to us from the commercial real estate lending industry with more than 25 years of experience in interim, permanent and construction lending, real estate asset management, loan workout, loan administration, project management, property analysis and site inspection. Mr. Goldberg has served at the executive level in both regional and major national banks, as well as leading real estate asset management firms. Most recently, Mr. Goldberg was a consultant and close advisor to several prominent investment banks regarding due diligence for securitized commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Goldberg is a graduate of Richland College with a degree in Construction Management & Technology. |

Brian Zollinger
Project Manager
Brian Zollinger joined Vista Design, Inc. immediately subsequent to his graduation from West Virginia University where he earned a BS in Landscape Architecture. With a total of eleven years of landscape architecture and project management experience, Mr. Zollinger diligently worked his way up through Vista Design’s ranks to his current position of Project Manager. While a student at WVU, Mr. Zollinger was awarded the bronze medal in the National Student Design Competition sponsored by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). He maintains his active membership in ASLA today. |

Chris Yensen
Project Manager
Chris Yensen is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he was awarded a BS in Landscape Architecture. Mr. Yensen has a total of eleven years experience in landscape architecture and project management. Mr. Yensen joined Vista Design, Inc. immediately after graduation and returned to us after leaving to practice his profession for two years with Terradon Corp, a major engineering firm. Upon his return to Vista Design, his dedication and creativity eventually led to promotion into his current position of Project Manager. |
